Friday’s consensus selection came within a neck of landing the Oaks in a thrilling finish, so we’re hoping that Tipstrr’s racing experts can go one better in Saturday’s eagerly anticipated Derby at 3.30pm.
With 19 high-pedigree contenders in the line-up, there’s obviously more than a few with serious chances of landing this fourth Classic of the season, but it is Ruling Court who has received most support in the Tipstrr camp.

Charlie Appleby’s three-year-old won at Sandown on debut ten months ago and has gone from strength to strength since having a first-time tongue-tie applied for his victorious season reappearance at Meydan in March.
Ruling Court took another huge step forward to land the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket last time out a month ago, when he put in an eye-catching finish to hold off the challenge of the favourite Field Of Gold, who has since gone on to win the Irish 2000 Guineas at the Curragh.
Connections will be hoping that the Epsom track does not receive too much rain prior to the off, and while Ruling Court has yet to be tried over this mile-and-a-half trip, he will take some beating if he can last the distance in the safe hands of William Buick.
Elsewhere, there’s been some tentative support from Tipstrr’s each-way specialists for Tennessee Stud, who has shown enough glimpses of quality to suggest he could outrun his current 25/1 price tag.
With four each-way places widely available, arguably a more realistic prospect to make the frame is French raider Midak, one of only two unbeaten runners in the field, and to whose late owner, the Aga Khan, this edition of the Derby is being dedicated.
Midak faces a much stiffer test than in those previous three victories, of course, but he clearly like to lead, he should stay the trip and it’s always of interest when connections are prepared to pay extra for a supplementary entry.
