After landing a winner and an each-way place over the last couple of days, Tipstrr’s racing experts are looking to complete a hat-trick of successes when Northcliff takes on eight rivals in the last race at Newmarket at 4.35pm.
It took this five-year-old 25 attempts to open his account just over a year ago, since when he has made it to the winner’s enclosure a further five times, including all of his last three outings over the last three weeks.
Northcliff won twice in the space of four days for original trainer Michael Keady in late April, and took his switch to Thomas Faulkner’s yard in his stride by edging home by a neck ahead of a dozen rivals on his stable debut at Ascot last weekend.

That was Luke Catton’s first time aboard this gelding and the same jockey brings his useful five-pound claim to the saddle again, which should help offset Northcliff’s inevitable rising mark.
Northcliff loves to set the pace and should be suited by a Newmarket track that tends to suit front-runners, so it will be no surprise to see him attempting to make all again here.
Faulkner’s string have been produced in top shape recently, with the trainer having saddled five winners and five places from his last 15 runners, so he will have high hopes for his only representative on Saturday’s card.
Northcliff is vying with Imperial Guard for the early favourite tag, but the consensus in the Tipstrr camp is that at 4/1 he is the value bet to complete his four-timer here.
NORTHCLIFF 4.35pm Newmarket (4/1 at time of writing)
