Al Ross asks why they're favourites agianst fellow Spain high-fliers Osasuna and fails to find an answer in his Mallorca versus Osasuna La Liga Football Betting Preview.

Mallorca v Osasuna Betting PreviewAl Ross

Mallorca and Osusuna are tied on pinnts and both just outside the European places in La Liga, so the odds give the home side the advantage and make them even money. Simple, right?

Well, no. It's hard to back the home side when you realise this is more a case of Osasuna vying for the glory in the league table, while watching Mallorca falling past them.

Mallorca are finding it harder to score than I did when I was a teenager. It's been over 500 minutes of football since they last got a goal, and over 600 minutes - that's 10 hours of football - since they scored from open play. So it's hard to back them at Evens, and no team has fewer draws this season than Mallorca.

So can you back them versus Osasuna? Well at a massive 7/2 with Betfair... I'd say yes.

And also, preview the card markets. No team has got more red cards than Mallorca's 6 this season - Osasuna have yet to have anyone sent off this season. Mallorca to get the most booking points is 17/10. Again, that looks big. 9 of the last 10 matches between these two at the Son Moix - and all of the last 5 - have seen cards in the first half-hour. Hills give 5/2 for a card in the first 15 minutes.

Feel free to play some form of cards and outrights double, but I'm a simple betting man and that 7/2 on an away win is big enough for me, but Osasuna to Win to Nil at 11/2 with Unibet is tempting as well.
