National League Betting Preview – Saturday 2nd March – Thomas Feaheny
I'm Tom Feeney and these are my National League picks, so it's going to be another really interesting weekend in the 5th tier of English football and the first game to have a look at is the game which is being televised is Dorking Wanderers v Chesterfield - I think it's safe to say we're talking about the. Champions elect here!
They need just four more wins to confirm promotion back into the EFL to be crowned champions of the National League. They've dominated the 5th tier from near the start of the season up to now, and it just keeps going - That really impressive win against Barnet in midweek, a clinical victory as well.
I do think now this is going to be a tough game for Paul Cook's side. Dorking, currently in the relegation places and that pressure is really on them right now.
I think Chesterfield will be able to gain all three points, but I don't think there's going to be too much in it at all. I think a single goal will be the difference for this match.
Selection – A narrow Chesterfield win
Now looking at the team who are second in the division in Bromley. And while they are so near top place in terms of position, in terms of points, obviously the aim now for them is just to solidify a playoff place come the end of the season.
Well, this is going to be a really tough test for the team as they go up against FC Halifax Town who know, victory should see them in the playoff places come the end of Saturday afternoon.
Town have won the last four league games and they've really impressed finding a good run of form for Bromley it's quite simple, they just need to keep going, getting them top seven places confirmed for the end of the season in terms of who's going to win this one, I've gotta be honest with you, I feel both teams will be leaving with a point. There isn't going to be too much between these two sides and both will be feeling rather confident that they'll be able to gain something from it.
Selection – Bromley v FC Halifax Town - Draw
The final game to look at between two sides who really are in a relegation battle now. They are level on points going into this game as well. York City making the decision that Neal Ardley will be leaving the club. He has gone and new manager coming in. The former Worthing boss is in now in Adam Hinshelwood - they're going up against a Wealdstone team who just recently since the managerial change have really not had much to say in the league, though obviously they're still in the FA Trophy. It's so important for them to be getting some points as soon as they can.
This is another game where it's going to be really tight. I don't think there's gonna be any goals in this one as well. I'm gonna say it's gonna be ending in a goalless draw between the two teams.
Selection – York City v Wealdstone – No score draw
