National League Betting Preview - Thomas Feaheny - Saturday 17th February

National League Betting Preview – Saturday 17th February

I'm Tom Feahney and these are my National League picks, so another intriguing weekend of 5th tier action taking place and the first game I'm gonna look at is second going up against first Bromley V Chesterfield.

Now only one place between the two sides, obviously, but the difference in points is 23. Chesterfield really are the National League champions elect. They're so close to winning that title. All they have to do is keep their form going and they will do it and last time they actually drew their game against Ebbsfleet United 2-2

For Bromley - They won in the FA Trophy, but their league form before that, it's been a bit disappointing, including that loss against Hartlepool United last time round in the league at home.

In terms of this match then I think both teams to score is the sensible bet. Now in terms of the result, either a draw or a narrow Chesterfield win would do them just fine. I do feel a draw, probably the safer bet for this weekend.

Selection – Bromley v Chesterfield – Both Teams to Score and Draw

Now looking at two sides who are in the playoff places and it's the game that is being televised this weekend as Aldershot Town go up against Altrincham despite being 7th in the table for Aldershot. It's been a really disappointing week as they were defeated 5-0 against AFC Fylde and it has to be said, AFC Fylde have been on an incredible run of form recently. But for Aldershot, they really need to show a reaction and they'll be hoping they can achieve that.

For Altrincham they won their last away game, beating Solihull Moors in the league. Now, in terms of that, though, before that they've not won in six away from home. So it's going to be really close to call to see what happens in this match. Now only four points between the two sides books Aldershot have played two games more than Altrincham and they will be having a look, thinking they've got a real possibility having a game in hand on Barnet that they can sneak into the top three.

Selection – Altrincham win

Now for Kidderminster Harriers since Phil Brown came into the club their league form has been absolutely outstanding. They did however lose in the FA Trophy last weekend. This weekend they face a Dorking Wanderers side, who gained a really impressive and a big win for them as they moved further up the table, beating York City.

But they're still only three points off the relegation zone so they know the importance of gaining more points, I've gotta say, with Kidderminster, the form that they've been in since the arrival of Phil Brown, I think that will be continuing and they'll be able to gain an important victory as they look to move further up the league standings and eventually get out of those relegation places, it's going to be another really interesting weekend in the National League.

Selection - Kidderminster Harriers win
