FA Trophy 4th Round Betting Preview - Saturday 13th January 2024 with Thomas Feaheny

Thomas Feaheny – FA Trophy 4th Round – Saturday 13th January 2024

FA Trophy 4th Round Picks.

There are some big games in the FA Trophy 4th Round this weekend.

First up let’s look at Macclesfield v Dorking Wanderers – The Silkmen a few years ago went to Wembley in this competition and lost to York City.

Marc White’s Dorking Wanderers side have been in poor form in the last few weeks and the Northern Premier League side will have a full house at Moss Rose and the Cupset could be on.

My selection – Macclesfield to Win.

Next up it’s Oldham Athletic who face Hendon – It’s a long journey for the visitors who have done most of their winning at home – This is a massive task for Hendon especially as Mickey Mellon the Oldham boss has said he is looking at the FA Trophy as a realistic target for his side this season.

The Latics have picked up and it will be interesting to see the team news but it all points to an Oldham Athletic win.

My selection – Oldham Atheltic to win and over 2.5 goals in the game

The next game to look at is Hartlepool United who take on Hampton and Richmond Borough – Hartlepool have had a torrid season and the old stager Lennie Lawrence is in temporary charge. Their opponents came back from 2-0 down to beat Southend United on penalties after a 2-2 draw and they could be capable of another upset here – Hampton and Richmond Borough have been in great form in the league and have taken that form into the FA Trophy.

My selection – A narrow Hampton and Richmond Borough Win

The final game for me to look at sees the longest trip in the round. Weston Super Mare head to Gateshead.  The Head last season reached the FA Trophy final and finished runners up – They should be too strong for the visitors and despite a hammering in midweek by National League leaders Chesterfield, Gateshead should have too much for Weston Super Mare.

My selection – A comfortable Gateshead Win
