David Easson's got the midweek predictions in the League One Betting Preview and he's finally gone off Huddersfield, who should be getting a proper taste of the away day Blues
Don’t get me started on Huddersfield. Such a good start to the season has gone wildly off the rails. They’ve lost 6 out of 7 in all competitions and only had that weird 4-0 win at Bolton. Their last 5 away games have had over 2.5 goals and they’re not winning at Birmingham. Six wins in a row and heading clear at the top.
Birmingham and over 2.5 goals is 6/4 – that’s a real tempter.
Many an eyebrow was raised when Steve Bruce went to Blackpool but here we are with 4 wins in a row and a home game against Lincoln. Yes, it’ll all go wrong at some point but let’s ride the rollercoaster while we can, shall we? Now Lincoln are no mugs so this will be a very decent game. It’s third versus fourth and Lincoln are a far better away team than they are at home with ten points from their 4 away trips. But 2 of their 3 away wins have come at lowly Burton and Cambridge. I’m sticking with Steve!
Blackpool outright is 10/11 in places
Talking of Burton, they’ve won one of their 11 matches this season and a run of creditable draws has given way to defeats once more. Reading may be a shambles off the pitch but on their home turf they’re a tough team to get anything out of, with 4 home wins out of 5 in all competitions.
Add in a look at both to score and over 2.5 goals in Barnsley v Wycombe. That’s occurred in 3 out of 4 home games for Barnsley and in every Wycombe away game this season. It’s around even money for that reason.
The 4-timer is Birmingham and over 2.5 goals
Blackpool to beat Lincoln
Reading to beat Burton
And both to score and over 2.5 goals in Barnsley v Wycombe.
