Barrow v Walsall

We started last weeks preview with an apology to fans of Walsall as we have opposing their team week in, week out, because, even though they have been the league leaders for what feels like an eternity, they have not been winning many games and the chasing pack have been catching up.

Well, apologies again Walsall fans.

PREVIEW: Barrow v Walsall

The chasing pack have now caught up, and overtaken Walsall, who for the first time in a long time go into a game not at the top of the table. Walsall have slipped to 3rd after losing at home to Port Vale, a Vale side we tipped to win.

Barrow host Walsall this weekend and here is why we cannot back Walsall. The bookies have them as 6/4 favs to win and we cannot back it. Walsal have won 3 of their last 16 games and none on their last 9.

Barrow are not in great form but at 2/1 are too big to win. Walsall have drawn 4 of their last 5 games, Barrow have drawn 2 of their last 5 and draw last time at home. If there is a winner then we pick the home side but we're backing the draw, 23/10, at Unibet.

Accrington Stanley v Tranmere Rovers

Football can be a funny old game at times, certainly when it comes to betting. There is a team that you oppose week after week as they're in a poor run of form, form they seemingly cannot shake off, but then all of a sudden they win a couple of games and all of a sudden they become one of the best teams on current form and you back them to win week after week.

PREVIEW: Accrington v Tranmere

And that is Tranmere Rovers.

A lack of goals and a lack of wins let to a lack of manager, Nigel Adkins was sacked, and Tranmere are now a different beast. After 1 win in 16, they have now won 4 of their last 6 and are banging in the goals. They beat Chesterfield 4-0 last weekend.

Tranmere travel to an Accrington Stanley who were thumped 4-0 at Bromley last weekend and lost 4-1 the game before by Fleetwood. Accrington have no wins in 5 and have only scored 2 goals in those 5 games.

The bookies have this game as a pick em', both teams are priced at 9/5, so we're going with Tranmere to win.

Morecambe v Carlisle Utd

We look at the very bottom of the table with Morecambe, second bottom, at home to Carlisle who are bottom. Both teams have 15 points left to play for, Morecambe are 6 points from safety, Carlisle are 8 points from safety. Both these teams need the win and need it badly.

PREVIEW: Morecambe v Carlisle

The home side has solid home form of late, 3 win and a draw in 4 games, and the away side has bad away form, 8 defeats in their last 10 away games.

Simple as this. Morecambe to win, 11/8 at William Hill.

Enjoy the football, good luck with your bets and please gamble responsibly.
