The Walsall wobble to continue, MK Dons to get a rare win, and Carlisle to make it four wins in a row. The best bets for League 2

Newport County v Walsall

We have previously mentioned the Walsall wobble, as we have called it, and it shows no signs of letting up. Indeed, the wobble may prove terminal to Walsall's chances of automatic promotion.

PREVIEW: Newport v Walsall

At one point this season, Walsall were 12 points clear at the top of the table. Walsall have won just 2 of their last 18 league games. And that run has seen them lose that 12 point lead at the top, it has seen them lose their position at the top, and it has seen them lose their automatic promotion place.

Walsall are now 4th in the league.

Walsall are 4/7 favs to win at Newport and you're a much braver person than we are to back that. Newport are 18th and do not have great home form, but Walsall have drawn and lost to teams who are not in great form which is why the wobble continues.

Newport County are 5/1 to win, which is very tempting, but for some insurance, we're backing Newport or the draw, double chance, 6/4 at betway.

Crewe v MK Dons

Sometimes you can back a team for what is going on off the pitch more than what is going on on it. And this is the case with MK Dons. They have had a very poor season bearing mind they were tipped among the favourites for promotion.

PREVIEW: Crewe v MK Dons

MK Dons are 19th and are only 7 points above the relegation zone. They have also not won in 6 and lost 4 of their last 5, so why are we backing them to win at Crewe?

Crewe's form has seen them slip away from the play-offs, they have only won 1 of their last 9, and they have only won 3 of their last 10 at home, so Crewe are on their knees regarding confidence and are there for the taking. But the main reason is MK Dons have got Paul Warne in charge now which can be seen as quite a coup for a team so low in League 2. Paul Warne was managing Derby in the Championship a couple of months ago.

He will have had his first few days on the training ground with his new team and will give the team a lift, you hope, and that is why we're backing MK Dons at 13/5 to win. It's too big and too tempting.

Accrington Stanley v Carlisle

Carlisle have found form at exactly the right time but the question is is it too little too late? They look destined for relegation a few weeks ago but they have won all of their last 3 and have closed the gap to Tranmere to 4 points with 9 left to play for. They are 6 points behind Accrington too and that is who they travel to play on Monday.

PREVIEW: Accrington v Carlisle

If Accrington win, they stay up and results depending elsewhere, Carlisle could be relegated. It's such a huge game.

Accrington have won 1 of their last 7 games but that was a timely win last time out at Salford. It's still no win in 4 at home for Accrington so we're pro Carlisle in this one. The draw is a play but Carlisle are priced at 21/10 at Coral to win, and with 3 wins out of 3, they're the team in form. So we're backing it.
