Carlisle to bid farewell with a win, Walsall to fail to win, again, and County and Rovers to draw. The best bets for League 2.

Carlisle v Salford

The final day of the season, a season that Carlisle fans will definitely wish to forget, as their relegation to the National League has been confirmed.

They say goodbye to the football league with a home tie against Salford, who are currently occupying the final playoff place on goal difference from Grimsby.

This means all the pressure is on the away side. Carlisle, whose form has been good of late, especially at home, although it was too little too late in the end, can relax and enjoy a pressure-free game. Salford, not so.

Carlisle have won 3 out of 4 at home, Salford have won 4 out of 5 away, and both are scoring goals, so do look at goals in this one. However, Carlisle are a big price to win this game. As mentioned, all the pressure is on the away side. 4/1 at bet365 for Carlisle is big, and we're playing it.

Crewe v Walsall

Two sides completely out of form meet on the final day of the season as Crewe play Walsall.

Crewe have 1 win in 10 games and have fallen away from the play-offs and are now confined to another season in League 2. For Walsall, it's even worse. No wins in 13 league games, and they have not only fallen from the top of League 2, but they have also blown a 15-point lead. We're not even sure if that has ever been done before, and they have toppled out of the automatic promotion places and are now in 4th.

But if Walsall win, and Bradford don't, indeed, if Bradford lose and Walsall draw, Walsall will go up automatically. The issue is Walsall have been dreadful of late. And yet, the bookies consistently have them as favorites to win, and we consistently oppose it. And we're consistently making money from doing so.

Crewe have been woeful, no getting away from it, but Walsall are odds-on to win, and we're not taking that. Crewe are 17/5 to win, so we're playing the double chance, Crewe or the draw at EVS, at SkyBet.

Notts County v Doncaster

Congratulations to Doncaster, who confirmed automatic promotion to League 1 with a win at home to Bradford last weekend. They end the season with a trip to Notts County, a County side who were in the hunt for automatic promotion but, like plenty of teams at the top of the table, hit a run of poor form at just the wrong time.

Notts County have won 1 of their last 5 and find themselves in the play-offs, 3 points off Bradford in 3rd. If Bradford and Walsall lose and Notts County win, then County will be automatically promoted on goal difference. It's a big if.

The issue is Notts County has to win, and that is the one thing they have not been doing. Doncaster achieved automatic promotion because their form has been good. Doncaster has to win to claim the title of league champions.

We fancy both these sides to cancel each other out, and we're backing the draw at 27/10 at Coral.

Enjoy the football, good luck with your bets, and please gamble responsibly.
