Can Chesterfield claim a home win against woeful Walsall? The best bet for the League 2 Play-Off Semi Final

A few months ago, when Walsall were way clear at the top of the table, it seemed inconceivable that they would feature in the play-offs in May, never mind meet Chesterfield, who seemingly seemed destined to miss out and have to settle for a mid-table finish.

PREVIEW: Chesterfield v Walsall

But Walsall won 3 of their last 21 league games, and Chesterfield won 8 of their last 15, and here we are: Chesterfield at home to Walsall.

And obviously, given the current form, if you're backing a winner, your probably siding with Chesterfield.

The interesting twist is that Chesterfield failed to beat the Saddlers this season, with a draw at home and a defeat away. Walsall have lost 4 of 6 at home but only 1 of 9 away. Chesterfield recently do not win back-to-back games at home. They have a win-draw pattern at home and last won 2 consecutive games at home when January turned into February.

Chesterfield won at home last time out.

We are, therefore, tempted by the draw, just as it was when Walsall traveled to North Derbyshire in the league. The draw is priced at 49/20 at Unibet.

Enjoy the football, good luck with your bets and please gamble responsibly
