Burnley’s 0-0 draw at Derby on Tuesday leaves them second in the table behind Leeds United on goal difference, whereas time is running out for Norwich who are still chasing a playoff berth from 11th place after being held to a home 0-0 of their own against Sunderland. Both sides need a win.
Burnley come into the game in decent form, unbeaten in their last 28 matches and boasting a formidable home record – 11 wins and 9 draws at Turf Moor. Scott Parker’s men have conceded just 11 goals at home all season, making Turf Moor a true fortress. Their recent 2-1 win over Coventry solidified their automatic promotion charge and further showed their resilience and quality.
Norwich, on the other hand, continue to struggle with consistency. Their recent 2-1 defeat at Plymouth extended a disappointing run of just one win in their last seven league games. Away from home, they've picked up only four wins in 19 matches, a poor return for a team with playoff ambitions.
