Premier League Tuesday Bets with Paul Robinson

Betting Radio's David Easson speaks to former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson ahead of the midweek Premier League matches.

David Easson: I'm suggesting that in the late game you're going to suggest that Arsenal will beat Luton Town away but will it be an Arsenal romp? The price would suggest it might be, but Luton haven't allowed that to happen to them this season have they?

Paul Robinson: Well, let's look back at the Liverpool game and what Luton did, the way that they played at home. They make it difficult for teams. They know what they are, they make no apologies for it and that's what they do. They'll make it difficult for Arsenal. They'll try and keep it tight for the first half and stay in the game but Arsenal have just got that better quality. That will show. They seem to have crept up on the rails, haven't they? Everyone's saying now that Arsenal realistic title contenders and they won't get tripped up here. They get the job done, they play well, they score goals and I can't see Luton away a stumbling block.
It won't be easy but Luton will struggle to score against this good Arsenal side. Arsenal will win. I think it'll be narrowly - I don't think it will be as convincing as the odds may suggest. If you back Arsenal, you may be looking at it at halftime thinking it's a bit tight but I think the quality will come through. I've gone for a 2-0 Arsenal win.

DE: Earlier in the evening, it's Wolves against Burnley. Burnley with that incredible win at the weekend against a very poor Sheffield United. Is that a vindication of Vincent Kompany's tactics?

PR: It's a huge result for them, isn't it? They go to Wolves full of confidence but it's not vindication for what he's been doing either. He's saying that he's sticking to his guns but did you see the goals!? First one came direct from the kickoff. They were playing long balls, they were kicking goal kicks long, playing a lot more direct. There was a quite obvious shift in style but they were playing up against the poor Sheffield United side. It's going to be a tough season for Burnley going, to a Wolves side who I've seen three or four times at home this season, and they are very well organized under Gary O'Neill. They've surprised me and they should have seven more points than they have because of VAR decisions and refereeing decisions that have cost them. This will be a big test for Burnley. I've got Wolves to win this one at home. Won't be open, won't be expansive, won't be pretty. I've got Wolves to nick it 2-1.
