Paul Robinson on the Premier League on Saturday 13th January 2024
David Easson spoke to Paul Robinson ahead of another big Premier League Saturday.
Well, recent history on long term history would suggest that it's a home banker Fulham have not won at the Bridge since 1979 in the league, very, very historic old football game, this one in the in the Premier League especially.
But for Fulham, recent away form would suggest as well that it's gonna be a home win. I think it's the last three games they've conceded more than three away from home.
On their travels, they just don’t do well - Yes, they've had good performances, played well at Anfield, 1-0 up and you know the back-to-back wins before that against Arsenal 2-1, which was most impressive. 1-0 against Rotherham in the FA Cup with Willian in great form.
But Chelsea for me, five wins, 2 defeats the last seven and a good win the FA Cup against Preston. Disappointing away performance at Middlesbrough but it's only half time in that game. And I do think that they are slowly starting to turn the corner and put performances together like I say with recent and long term history and make this a this a home win.

Newcastle v Manchester City
Well City had just one win in six before heading to the World Club Championship. They cameback as World Champions and had three consecutive wins since. Granted, it's been an easy one against Huddersfield in the FA Cup, but they getting players back.
Doku, De Bruyne are in and Haaland is only a couple of weeks away from returning
I think against Newcastle it will be Alvarez up front again and they play against a Newcastle side who unlike them, are not in form. There was of course the confidence boost in a 3-0 win at Sunderland. and it was against the difficult Sunderland side,
I thought it was a good performance from them. But a poor run of results and poorer performances means they're out of Europe, out of the Carabao Cup, 11 points off the top four. I mean Eddie Howe has got a strong starting 11, but still no squad depth.
The way in is City to win and build your bet. Both teams to score. Pick a goal scorer, put Bruno Guimaraes in for a booking, 14 yellow cards this season for club and country, booked in his last five games. Almost a banker for a yellow.
