League 2 Saturday Betting Preview

Gavin Puszczalowskyi

With plenty of games in League 2 on Saturday, Gavin Puszczalowskyi is going to offer three quick-tips.

I'm starting with Swindon at home to Grimsby. Where I am sure the odds are the wrong way round.

Swindon Town v Grimsby TownGavin Puszczalowskyi

Swindon are 13/10 favs to win. Swindon are 22nd, 3rd bottom, and have won 2 home games in the league all season. Grimsby are 21/10 at William Hill to win. Grimsby are 7th, they have 15 more points than Swindon, and they have won 6 of their last 7 away games.

The odds make no sense to me. So it has to be Grimsby, 21/10 to win at Swindon.

Notts County's form has absolutely fallen off a cliff. After winning 3 games in 4 in all competitions, they have now lost 4 of their last 5 and they have conceded 12 goals on those 4 defeats. They are at home to a Bradford City side who have lost just 2 of their last 10 league games and have jumped above Notts County in the league table.

Meadow Lane is still a tough place to go but I am not backing County at 13/10. Not in their current form. Bradford are 11/5 to win which is tempting but I'm taking a bit of insurance. Bradford draw-no-bet is 27/20 at Unibet and that is my quick-tip.

My next quick-tip is focusing on Chesterfield at home to Wimbledon. The Spireites are the clear favs to win this at 11/8 but I am not so sure. Wimbledon have gone under the radar a little and their current form, 3 wins in their last 4, has seen them rise to 4th in the table. Chesterfield are currently 6th.

Chesterfield have also won more points away than at home, and while they have won their last 2 home games, they did so against teams not as good as Wimbledon. The Dons have won their last 3 away games and I think that 2/1 on them is too big. So I'm taking it.

Wimbledon, to win, 2/1 at Betfair.
